Who We Are
Meet Our Expert Dr. Don Selvey
Dr. Selvey graduated from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now known as Sonoran University of Health Sciences) in Tempe, Arizona, after a career in the medical products industry. He first earned an undergraduate degree in Biology from Arizona State University, followed by a graduate degree, also from Arizona State, in physiology; his research was on Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Initially, Dr. Selvey worked in public health, starting as a “health inspector” and then after training with the CDC, became an epidemiologist with the Arizona Department of Health Services. He first trained in infectious diseases, followed by environmental medicine focusing on environmental toxins such as pesticides, heavy metal poisonings, and aflatoxin.
During this time, Dr. Selvey chose to devote some of his time to teaching courses in Public Health and had several papers published in medical journals.
Dr. Selvey moved into the medical products industry when he went to work with a company that designed and produced biocompatible implants used by surgeons to repair disease or accident-damaged tissues. In this role, he conducted clinical and non-clinical research on new products for approvals by FDA and foreign countries. He literally traveled the world doing this work.
Next, Dr. Selvey worked with a start-up company that was focused on the precision delivery of insulin to persons with Type I diabetes. He helped to develop and conducted the clinical research on external insulin pumps and supplies, the implantable insulin pump, and the continuous glucose monitoring system. Finding a “best in class” treatment for Type I Diabetes was both personally and professionally rewarding. In this role, he was privileged to know and work with some of the world’s preiminent endocrinologists and diabetologists. This business was acquired for several billion dollars – and continues to lead healthcare for diabetes.
About Us
Concierge Model
Services Provided in Subscription (No extra fee)
Subscribers will have access to a medical professional 24/7. We will collect information on current medical concerns, and with the subscriber, determine whether a telemedicine or on-site visit is most appropriate. If a visit is required, the medical provider and subscriber will collaborate to determine the best time and location for the visit (provider office or house call).
Our expectation is to have each call from a subscriber answered by a representative of College Concierge Medical, or as necessary to return the call within 30 minutes or less when a message is created. A medical provider will follow up with the subscriber as soon as practicable, but not more than 60 minutes. Visits will be arranged as soon as possible.
Typical services provided by telemedicine or by onsite visit include:
- Verification of subscriber identity, past medical history including any medication allergies.
- The nature of the current medical issue.
- History of current medical issues, including characteristics and duration of the condition and changes in the condition from onset.
- Appropriate physical examination based on the chief concern of the subscriber. Nearly all exams will include assessment of medical vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart and lungs). In the event it is necessary for a patient to partially disrobe for the medical examination, a modesty drape or gown will be provided.
- If an in-office laboratory test (CLIA-waived) is likely to yield pertinent information, that will be performed.
- If other laboratory evaluations, imaging or surgery is required, this is not included in the subscription fee. However, fees for these services may be covered by other (parental) insurance.
- All encounters will be recorded to ensure no pertinent information is missed and a medical chart created.
- If medication is indicated by the provided history and findings of the physical examination, the best available medication that is not contraindicated will be prescribed electronically, with the prescription sent to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.
- If referral to a specialist is indicated, that will be included.
Patients are required to subscribe to our practice through the online portal. This provides access to information we need to provide care, including identification, past medical history and contact information. The fee for subscription is $125.00 per month, or $1,275 per year. No refunds are provided.

Services are Limited
We are not Emergency Physicians, and we can’t bring all the equipment and supplies of an Emergency Department. We are primary care – people the emergency providers tell you to go see when they can’t help you.
There is a limit to the number of times we can see you each month. The number is not set hard and fast, because sometimes a patient needs to be seen multiple times. On the other hand, we won’t create an entitlement for hypochondriacs nor feed the addictions of those seeking illicit narcotics. We can help addicts through medication, but not by prescribing more narcotics.
If you have a question about what we can and cannot do for you, just ask.
Services Not Included in Subscription; Fees for Additional Services
In addition to providing primary medical care, some of our providers are able to provide additional services for a fee, including:
- Nutritional IVs
- Weight loss programs
- Medical marijuana certification (requires suitable past medical history). Subscribers living in an on-campus residence facility may not be able to possess medical marijuana, depending on the policies of the university.
- Aesthetics, including tox and fillers for wrinkle prevention or reduction.
- Mole and other lesion removal.
- Transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment of certain neurologic disorders.
Non-Subscription Treatment
Associates of subscribers may be treated for an acute illness without subscribing. The fee is $300 for a house call. The fee must be paid in advance to College Concierge Medical, such as by Venmo, PayPal, Zelle or other service.
